For Tyra Jarvis, Leadership Coach and former EWGA Board President, golf has been a game for life – supporting her personally and professionally wherever she lived, worked and played, one shot at a time.
“My relationship with golf has afforded me a robust network and life rich with incredible friends, opportunities to learn and grow, and the most memorable experiences. It is a critical skill for business and for life, and the game is about relationships – with others, as well as with yourself. As a leadership coach, my experiences and relationships with golf support me as I support my clients in translating their life’s passion and goals into reality.” Tyra Jarvis
Golf As The Constant Through Life’s Ups and Downs, By Tyra Jarvis
My relationship with golf began more than 40 years ago. Throughout the years, the game has been there for me — in good times and in the not-so-good times. It has been a constant wherever I lived, worked and played.
Golf was there for me during my husband Jim’s courageous battle with melanoma and continues to be, as I navigate my grieving process since his passing.
Whenever I play golf, I feel close to Jim. It’s sad to reminisce the times gone by and the future that will never be. At the same time, I believe really feeling and expressing the emotions of loss and grief is the only way to move forward – just like golf, one shot at a time.
